It has been our dream as ΣAHETI Alumni to launch the ΣAHETI Alumni Support Fund initiative, a fund dedicated to helping children of Alumni of SAHETI who are in financial need. In 2015, the SAHETI Alumni Committee (established in 2012) turned this dream into reality.
As children, we have all benefitted from the enriched education which SAHETI School has given to us – an education underpinned by the ethos and values of Hellenism. This model Hellenic School of the diaspora has given us solid foundations on which to build. It is time to give back.
In 2015, the SAHETI Alumni Association set its priority to provide children of Alumni who are in need of our help, the opportunity to remain at SAHETI or to attend SAHETI. To give these children a chance.
Funds raised will be used to help children of SAHETI Alumni in need of financial assistance.
Awards will be made to children who will receive schooling in Playschool, Pre-Primary, Primary or High School. The recipient/s (depending on funds) may be awarded either a full or a partial bursary for an academic year.
It is the intention to build and expand the fund further so that in the future, a bursary and/or a scholarship may be awarded for more than one year periods at a time.
The ΣAHETI Alumni Support Fund is administered by the SAHETI Alumni Committee comprising of individuals who schooled at SAHETI. The awards will be made at the discretion of the committee to suitable candidates only and it is possible that any award/s may not be awarded every year.
All contributions to the Fund, together with the names of those enjoying bursaries and scholarships are acknowledged in SAHETI’s Annual reports. SAHETI is a Public Benefit Organization and contributions to the Fund are tax deductible in terms of current regulations.
